Heinrich ad touts his support of the troops

Rep. Martin Heinrich’s (D-N.M.) new ad features two New Mexicans in the military talking up his work to support them, a response to his opponent, former Rep. Heather Wilson (R-N.M.), touting her time in the Air Force.

“I’m a third-generation Marine. My family really values service and I know Martin Heinrich values our service as well,” Marvin Trujillo says. “Martin has worked to keep the jobs here at Kirtland [base] and I know he’ll continue to work hard for the veterans of New Mexico.”

“My husband, Jeff, and I both served in the Air Force. Jeff was killed last year in Afghanistan,” says Suzanna Ausborn.”Martin honored Jeff for sacrificing for his country. I know that military families like mine are very important to Martin Heinrich.”

The two are locked in a tight Senate race, though polling shows Heinrich with the edge. The Hill rates the race “lean Democratic.”
