Corker, Others Praise Choice Of Paul Ryan As Romney Running Mate

Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., made the following statement today regarding U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Governor Mitt Romney’s running mate.

“Paul Ryan is a bold, outstanding pick,” said Senator Corker. “He’s a true leader with a great family who has shown with courage and commitment that he understands the depth of our country’s fiscal problems and what it’s going to take to address them.

“By choosing Paul Ryan, Governor Romney has shown that he is absolutely committed to putting our nation’s fiscal issues in the rearview mirror so we can ensure our country’s greatness for generations to come.”

Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney said, “Paul Ryan is the right choice to serve as Governor Romney’s running mate. Ryan has immense experience, including a knowledge and grounding on fiscal issues and the economy, something we are sorely lacking at Pennsylvania Avenue currently.

“Romney and Ryan will make a great team for America.”

 U.S. Rep. Tom Graves said, “Governor Romney made a big choice in selecting Congressman Paul Ryan to join him on America’s comeback team.  Congressman Ryan is a taxpayer champion and understands empowering the private sector is the best way to strengthen the economy and create jobs.
