Longtime Channel 5 news reporter Gail Huff will address the South Shore Women’s Business Network in Hingham on August 30.
Huff, the wife of Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, and a former television news reporter for Boston’s WCVB-TV5, will speak about the challenges women face in building a career.
Huff’s appearance will take place at an upcoming breakfast meeting, to be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday August 30 at Linden Ponds’ Derby Street Clubhouse.
Tickets for the networking breakfast are $25 for SSWBN members and first-time attendees, $40 non-members and may be purchased online at www.sswbn.org.
Huff is best known for her 17 years spent as a television reporter for Boston’s WCVB-TV5. She has made appearances in local campaign commercials for Brown and is currently on leave from her role as a news reporter for WJLA-TV7 in Washington, D.C. to join her husband in his re-election campaign.
The mother of two is a graduate of Waltham High School and Bentley University and later attended Emerson College’s graduate program for broadcast journalism. She is an active participant in various charity organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, American Stroke Association and the Horace Mann Education Association.
Huff and Brown have been married for 26 years and live in Wrentham. They have two daughters, Ayla and Arianna.
