US Senate candidate from Maryland Dan Bongino described the differences between him and his opponent, Sen. Ben Cardin, in an interview with The Daily Caller.
“I find it ironic — they say, well, we’re Democrats. We don’t believe in a top-down, we believe in a middle-out economy. I almost want to laugh, because he [Cardin] not only believes in a top-down economy, but at the top is government, and he doesn’t tell you that,” Bongino said.
Bongino has been endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint. Cardin, who has served in Congress since 1987, was ranked the 10th most liberal senator in 2011 by National Journal.
“He’s running on, I should take your money and invest it in Solyndra, even though you didn’t want to,” Bongino said. “It’s a technocratic view that you are too stupid to spend your own money.”
Look for the full interview Monday.
